January 28, 200620 yr I recently had some problems with my PMDG744, so I uninstalled all PMDG aircraft, and deleted any remaining PMDG folders.I then reinstalled the 737-6/700, then the 737-8/900, and finally the 744.The problems I had are now sorted, and all is well while flying. However, when I now EXIT FS9, regardless of flight or aircraft, my PC freezes for about a minute, then presents an error message stating that 'FS9 had to close due to an error', and asks if I would like to restart it.If I uninstall the 744, the problem goes away. It's driving me mad - any ideas?Phil Symonds Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
January 28, 200620 yr Hi Phil,Did you apply the Universal Update to Version 1.10 for the 744 after reinstalling? That should eliminate the error. It can be found .Jim Karn[link:www.precisionmanuals.com]http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg
January 29, 200620 yr Author Ah thank you. I recently downloaded the install file again from PMDG, and thought that would be up to date, and thus wouldn't need the update. Wrong I guess. However, now I'll have to read through the CTD threads, my original problem is fixed, but mow I get regular CTD's when using the the 744! Bummer! January 30, 200620 yr Can't remember exactly what this fixed, but did you install the PMDG flightplans when you installed the 747? I know it fixed some CTD's with other people.
