Active Camera & Wing Views

Featured Replies

Hi all,I bought active camara and can't figure out how to get the wingviews, as described by others in the previous forum. Can someone lead me though a dummies guide to wingviews using Active Camera for the PMDG 747-400?Looking forward to the very long-awaited views.AnthonyCape TownSouth Africa

i use DBS walk and follow and all i do is walk the camera around using the numpad and position it on the wing and save the view. not sure how this is interpreted in AC though

Anthony,I have bad news for you:You can get wing views on the 744 with Walk & Follow, but you can't get them with Active Camera. The reason is that the wings are not modelled in the VC. You can only see the wings in spot view.Walk & Follow has a feature that Active Camera hasn't: You can change your position in spot view.CheersThomas

That sux.I bought that AC for nothing then, even though people bragged that AC could. All this could have been avoided if PMDG just made a patch for us people who want to drop the 3d panel and rather have wing views.Anthony ReesCape TownSouth Africa

Anthony,I wouldn't that one.Search this forum for '747' and 'wing views' and you'll find some threads (some of them locked).;-) As far as I know, the guys from Anticyclone where thinking about an upgrade that would have that option.CheersThomas

sorry to hear that Anthony. it is a shame that there are PMDG view you can download for AC but no wing view. But i can tell you from my experience i rarely use wing view its not actually that great to be honest im so busy in the cockpit i never get a change to look out. but hopefully AC can sort it out in the near future with an update
