March 7, 200620 yr I wonder if anyone can help, every time I am about to land in an airport using the PMDG 747-400 in auto landing mode the auto pilot disengages for some reason, has any body else experienced this problem, if so can you kindly please tell me what to do in order to rectify this annoying problem, thanks.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e62/ritzer82/untitled.jpg
March 7, 200620 yr Hi AmsterdamerWith a problem like this one needs to use a system of elimination to try and resolve the problem. The first thing you must try is to look in the PMDG setup tab under GENERAL, the OPTIONS then AFDS and clear any ticked boxes in the Control override section, as any ticks in these boxes will cause an autopilot disconnect by design if you touch the Throttle or Elevators/ailerons/rudders as the system will think you want to manually intervene and disconnect the auto pilot if you move any of the controls mentioned above. This is not a fault but a design option, so eliminate this possibility first.regardsJohn CallejaBAW 352 John Calleja
March 7, 200620 yr There is no ticks on the control overide column and it still disengages when it is about to land approximately 300 feet off ground.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e62/ritzer82/untitled.jpg
March 8, 200620 yr Just an idea: Are you using activesky or an ai traffic addon? If you are you may be flying into the wake of another aircraft if you are following too close. I have had Autopilot disengage for this reason. Keeping my distance solves the problem for me. You can also choose to disable "Wake Turbulence Simulation" in activesky options. Mike Keigley
March 8, 200620 yr I think you may have cracked it as I do have actice sky and Ultimate Traffic add on, I will try later on today and see if that is the case, thank you friend.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e62/ritzer82/untitled.jpg
