March 9, 200620 yr When in CLB today I noticed the EGT and N1 on the EICAS will drop to the bottom for engine 1 & 4 and it happened again after I reset the engines (this time 1, 3, 4). I'm not sure what is causing this sudden loss of engine power. I have to CTRL "E" and refire the engines to restart. I get an alarm going off and all engines cut out on me. This doesn't seem like a very realistic way to go about flying this sim. Has it happened to anyone else or what might I be doing wrong? Another Q?, on takeoff I pressed the screw in the top left corner but no indication of the TOGA activating. I had all my V speeds setup in the FMC and exec'd it as well. Just curious as to what I may be doing wrong here. I'm still in the feeling and testing stage of the self learning curve. March 9, 200620 yr Author Just a thought. if I fail to set the continuous ignition knob like on the NG would this contribute to my problems?Tom i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
March 10, 200620 yr I think you use CONT IGN only in t-storms and heavy turbulence or heavy rain, etc., to prevent engine flameout.Do you have the FD switched on for t/off? The A/T and F/D must both be switched on for correct takeoff power to kick in.Are you using a throttle quadrant set for 4 engines? If so, it could be a calibration issue. If not, who knows. When I first got the Queen, I found that it would load with 1 or more engines dead. That's gone away now and she behaves properly.
