March 20, 200620 yr I saw this today on airliners.net. http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1019441I think I've done worse than that with my B744F from PMDG. It's good that FS9 doesn't record gear stress and runway damage from session to session :)Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
March 20, 200620 yr Did his tires blow? Did he collapse a gear? What happened?Wilson HinesMy Blog: http://www.wilsonhines.com --------------------------------------http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/837438/3074.png
March 20, 200620 yr From the photo description it looks like a short landing maybe he was below glideslope or something, theres a lot of smoke but no bits flying off so i cant see if there is tire damage or even tail damage. Probably just a hard impact and it created a lot of smoke

March 21, 200620 yr Hi all. I live near Sydney and didn't hear anything in the newspapers or on the TV about a cargo plane breaking up at YSSY, which is where the pic was taken. So I assume that it was just a heck of a hard landing with only the pilot's pride taking most of the damage! Matthew Bellette
