Where do you find it?

Posted

From the AVSIM FS Tips and Tricks section:Q) Where is the configuration file now located?A) It will be located in your personal Application Data folder. On Windows 2000/XP systems, this is located in Documents and SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftFS9FS9.cfg (for Windows 9x users the path is WindowsApplication DataMicrosoftFS9fs9.cfg). The Application Data folder is hidden, so you will need to enable viewing of hidden files/folders under the Folder Options in your Explorer.Jim Karnhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg

It can't be gone if FS9 starts. What it can be is hidden. Open Windows Explorer. Under the Tools menu item, click Folder Options then click on the View tab. You should see an item marked Hidden files and folders. Click on the button beside Show hidden files and folders. Then go to the location previously posted and the file should show up.Jim Karnhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg

Once you find it, make a shortcut to its location on your desktop or somewhere handy. You should probably build a new one each time you install an add-on or a new video driver. Sometimes a new fs9.cfg is a "miracle" cure for FS9 ailments.
