FMC - 747F saving a route?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to save a route manually entered into the FMC for future use? I have been unable to find any instruction on how to save anything entered, and it's frustrating having to enter a flightplan every time, especially if it consists of 22 pages in the FMC.Johan PlaneUppsala, Sweden

Johan,Once you have an active route you can use the >COPY RTE LSK to save it to your HD. It will be saved as ORIGDESTXXX in the PMDG FLIGHTPLANS folder i.e. ESSAESMS001.RTE.Hope it helps,

Thanks a million Mats!

I might add that if you save a flight a second, third... time the number is incremented by one ie. ORGIDEST002. Also you can name the flight by entering the name yourself. Since the 747 and 737 flight plans don't seem to be compatatable I've taken to naming the 737 flights ORGIDEST737. When I get back to flying the 747 I'll do the same, ORGIDEST747. They're saved in the same folder.
