Hi,I had one of the tough time while approaching a Airfield with Active Sky weather, went into a Storm, if Weather radar would be there, I could have gone around it.Its high time that we have a weather radar in our acft's, I know that its been discussed earlier and some guys tried Realtyxp Radar, but I failed to do that and FS crashes.I really admire the PMDG products and its a great stuff, the only missing thing is Weather Radar, which I think if Realtyxp can do it, why not PMDG.RegardsAbhay

Discussed so many times before, with an answer from PMDG which explains the situation why they don't implement one.. Please use the search button men!

The bottom line is the MSFS WX engine (even with ActiveSky) is horrible. Storms are only modeled to the most simplistic of cases. This is an area where I don't expect to see improvement because Microslop has already overtaxed the CPU with graphics and there's no room left for realistic weather. Maybe when they drop their decade old approach and start using the graphics processors for the eye candy they can start doing something as simple as provide realistic winds and flight dynamics.
