downscc's post in ETOPS flights and ADIRU re-alignment was marked as the answerEven a short turn is going to be longer than required to reboot the ADIRU. I always turn them off when I am doing my after on the blocks checks. They get turned on when the new copilot arrives in the cabin, or in my case when I start preparing for the next flight. The units are usually ready for setting coordinates before the fuel and catering tasks are done.

downscc's post in Issue With Saved Flights was marked as the answerRob, full names in the PMDG forums please.
Skip loading the default P3D aircraft. Start the sim at the Create Scenario screen and either select aircraft/location/time or load scenario from there.
Also, be sure to try the recommendations in the P3D USERS README file that is included in the installation zip file.

downscc's post in Time Compression - PMDG 777-300 was marked as the answerThere's no difference; however, if you are using the optional digital clock then your right mouse click belongs at the CHR button to the left of Captains seat.

downscc's post in FMC no SID/STAR was marked as the answerFull names in the PMDG forums please, Matt.
Delete the file ARP_RWY.dat in the PMDG\NAVDATA folder. The NGX doesn't use this file, the 777 will rebuild it next time it loads.

downscc's post in Loading scenario eham-lowi P3D V3.1 was marked as the answerOkay, I finished my flight and ran the NGX base package installer selecting Repair. It puts the Tutorial scenario files in the v2 documents instead of v3, look here: \Documents\Prepar3D v2 Files in your My Documents area. Copy or Move the files to the v3 documents folder and you should be in business.
I am embarrassed, I beta checked these installers and never thought to check the Tutorials. Good catch.

downscc's post in SDK for PMDG was marked as the answerYes, there is an SDK with the PMDG 777; however, be advised that creating an interface will require knowledge of C+ programming.
Please note that full names are required in the PMDG forums.

downscc's post in tag on FMC was marked as the answerTAI on above 10C is an advisory that you have thermal anti ice protection turned on when the surfaces are above the required temperature.
The indicated temperature you are looking at is not the ambient outside air temperature but the actual temperature of the wing surface that is heated due to high airspeed and compressive effects (total air temperature TAT). This is actually more complex than it sounds LOL, here is a good brief: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_air_temperature

downscc's post in Help to update to SP1D (BOXED VERSION) was marked as the answerUninstall the older version with Control Panel then run the new installer. The update is a full install, and will include the OC. Once you have the OC it will verify that you have current version for you.

downscc's post in Via Vector was marked as the answerNot exactly but you can create a custom waypoint using one of several options such as place-bearing-distance. These are in the FCOM in the FMS section.
However, step back and think about what you are trying to do. You do not need fake vectors to fly to where you want to go... fly the airplane. As an helper, you can put one of the approach fixes (perferably an IAF or IF) on a FIX page and put an intercept bearing on it. For example, you want to intercept LOC at fix ABCDE. Copy ABCDE to the scratchpad, go to a FIX page and past it in there. Now assign a bearing, doing a little reciprocal arithmetic in the head, such as 330 for a 30-deg intercept for a 180 final course (180-30 is 150, recip is 330).
In this case I'd put a 5 nm mile circle arount the VOR to give me a helper for the downwind distance coupled with the FIX bearing to help with turn to base and final intercept course and you are on your way.
Nope, notice the word "EXPECT" that means it's not a hard coded constraint. It means ATC may or may not give it to you in the clearance. It's on the chart for planning purposes.

downscc's post in PMDG Ops Centre - Cannot Figure Out How to Find Liveries was marked as the answerThe product selected in your OC screen shot is the FSX:SE version. Assuming you installed FSX:SE and not the boxed version then read the readme file titled "FSX STEAM EDITION USERS READ ME." It instructs you on installing simconnect, which may solve your problem. I assume you have current version product.
If it is not simconnect issue, then you have a registry error that is best handled via support ticket with PMDG Product Support at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

downscc's post in my 777 lands near runway was marked as the answerAn offset localizer will not guide you to the runway centerline. You do not have a problem, check the approach plates for your decision altitude and below that you need to hand fly to the runway.

downscc's post in A/P Engage CMD keybind? was marked as the answerBest to use the PMDG Options for keycommands. This is one that is set there and not in the platform, although in this case it might pass through. You definitely need to use the PMDG Options for A/P disconnect for that to work properly. I have mine set to Shift+Ctrl+Z.
See also the Introduction document that covers all these nice to know things.

downscc's post in Active Sky Next Conflict w/FSX was marked as the answerFSX suggested that you uninstall ASN? Really, I've never seen FSX do something like that but I do believe you just interested.
Try reinstalling ASConnect. Regardless, HiFi is the right place to go for this.

downscc's post in No Prompt for Activation was marked as the answerI guess you didn't read the file included in the installer's zip PREPAR3D USERS READ ME. That may solve your problem.
-
downscc's post in Sounds not playing on the NGX was marked as the answerYou don't need to do anything with the license to remove and install, only a concern if you change operating systems. During beta tests I remove/install many dozens of times. Many.
There are two sound 'settings' one in FSX and one in the PMDG NGX FMS. Check both?

downscc's post in Cabin altitude warning was marked as the answerThe doors need to be closed, packs on, and FMS set for flight. Otherwise yes, it's automatic. Exactly what is the wording of the alarm.. red warning light on the overhead?
-
downscc's post in Operations Center - cofused about new update 777 SP1d was marked as the answerThe only changes to RAAS were made to accomodate FSXSE... when we first started beta test the RAAS wouldn't work. Within a couple of days the RAAS module was working. Simple as that, you don't need the update for FSX.
Oscar, I think I've answered this exact question at least four times and you still asked the question.... perhaps you are having a problem that you need help with? Be glad to help out.

downscc's post in FSX: SE PMDG 777 updates was marked as the answerNo, all PMDG products are current. For example, any SP includes all SP's before it... and full installs have the whole enchalada.

downscc's post in VNAV DISCONNECT during climb was marked as the answerNot a bug. Each time you press the button something happens and if it runs out of constraints to delete it simply disconnects. See FCOM 4.10.10
Push – (during VNAV climb)
•lowest FMC altitude constraint below selected MCP altitude is deleted
•if airplane is currently at an FMC altitude constraint, deletion allows airplane to resume climb. MCP altitude must be set above current altitude•for each press of switch, one deletion occurs
•if MCP altitude is set above current FMC altitude, FMC cruise altitude resets to MCP altitude. FMC cruise altitude cannot be decreased using ALT INTV switch.

downscc's post in Rudder trim was marked as the answerInstead of manual trim cancel, press the THRUST ASYM COMP switch overhead as Kyle suggested (FCOM 9.10.1). Also see description of TAC at FCOM 9.20.16; note that TAC is not avail on ground below 70 kts. 0.3R seems trivial compared to rudder trim range of 0-15; I never use autorudder in FSX, my cheap MS joystick has a rudder axis that I do use. Try without autorudder and pressing the overhead switch as suggested.
