I am very new at P3D and PMDG stuff so perhaps I am very ignorant about this.

The second tutorial stated that I can load the scenerio via the Load button in the scenerio screen but the pmdg flights are not there.

Only the default flights from P3D.

Is there another way to select the PMDG turorial flight directly or do I have to load the aircraft first, position it at the right airport and load the

state of the aircraft via the FMS.

Piet, welcome to the PMDG forums. Please note that full names on all posts are required.

 

The EHAM-LOWI tutorial is the second tutorial for the NGX. Does this mean you've flown the first tutorial okay?

 

Regardless, sometimes it is hard to find things in the long scenario list. The trick I use is to click on the Publisher column, this sorts the list such that all PMDG scenarios are together and makes it easier to find things.  Also, there is no other step required, do not load an aircraft first, be sure to start with the Set Up Scenario screen and click the Load Scenario button.

Yes I have flown the first scenario,

The problem is not a long scenerio list but a short one and doesn't contain the PMDG scenarios.

I have the scenario screen when I load P3D but clicking on the load button I get only the default scenarios.

But what do you mean with the Publisher column, I don't see that in the list.

I have only Type,  Favorite, Scenario Title, Category Scenario File Name and Date/Time.

 

Am i missing something ??

My bad... I was thinking the vehicle list. I apologize, it's been a long time since I ran through the tutorials (maybe I should take recurrent training).

 

The NGX should install Tutorial #2 to your My Documents\Prepar3D v3\ folder, but I installed NGX before v3 so I cannot double check for you. Are you using P3D v2.5 or v3.x? Maybe the files are in the v2 documents folder... wish I could help by running the NGX installer and watching what it does but I have a long flight in progress.

 

All saved flights/scenarios are in the My Documents subfolders, as well as saved panel files in the P3D\PMDG\PMDG 737\Panels folder. Hope this helps.

No worries, but that could be it, I will check this. I am currently on V3.1 but have flown this under V2.5 and there I could select this scenario.

But I had to reinstall all and did only install V3.1 of P3D and reinstalled all the PMDG aircraft again with the new installers.

So I was puzzled as to why I didn't see the scenarios anymore.

Okay, I finished my flight and ran the NGX base package installer selecting Repair. It puts the Tutorial scenario files in the v2 documents instead of v3, look here: \Documents\Prepar3D v2 Files in your My Documents area.  Copy or Move the files to the v3 documents folder and you should be in business.

 

I am embarrassed, I beta checked these installers and never thought to check the Tutorials. Good catch.

Thanks Dan, I didn't noticed that directory because I was on a new install disk, but yes the files were there.

Minor issue solved !!!
