Is "FOLLOW HDG SELECT" a realistic setting and why is it an option at all?

It is not functional on the 744, but is on the 737NG... I do believe it is a carrier option for the AFDS, yes.

Is it an option.. or just a carry-over from sim NG development? I had a quick look at the pin program tables for the real world 744 and 767 FCC and couldn't find this option.Cheers.Q>
