August 11, 200619 yr hello dear friendsi am looking anywhere to find some informations regarding the compatibility between the fantastic PMDG 747 and the Project Magenta Software. I am in the process of putting together a complete 747 400 flightdeck at home, based on real and selfbuilt parts. you can check my homepage at www.b747-400.comI would like to know howand if i could use the pmdg 747 air-file with project magenta setup?thanks a lot for any helptake careMarc
August 11, 200619 yr Hi, I am building a home made cockpit myself, and will be using project magenta software also. My hardware will be from www.goflightinc.com, but project magenta software is not any anyway compatible with PMDG software. Its a seperate program that runs for home made cockpits. You will have to choose between PMDG software, or project magenta. Since your making a 747 home cockpit, mines will be universal for all types of aircrafts, you should take into consideration however project magenta just offers guages and CDU's only, where as PMDG 744 is a complete aircraft with full moving outside parts and textures. Hope i covered everything. Darian Phillips
August 12, 200619 yr hellothanks a lot for the informationbut i do own the project magenta software already, as well as i own the pmdg 747. I just want to know if it would be possible to use only the air-file with lets say, the standard 747 from microsoft, or posky or whatever, and use the project magenta software for the glasscockpit (including pmsystems for the overhead)would that work, or is there something tied in the air-file, that prevents this?MArc
August 12, 200619 yr yeah i see what your loooking for. im not that familiar with project magenta, when i get FS wide then i can test it with the demo. since you own project magenta just what type of aircraft are used with it? Darian Phillips
