Missing Textures Fix

I lost all PMDG 737NG fuselage textures. Had just installed an airport scenery, so I turned that off but no help. All other aircraft (default and addon) were okay. I reloaded one of the paints I use for the 737 and it then worked but no others did. I looked at the config files and everything looked normal between the one I got to work and the ones not working. Okay, now we're having fun. Did a search on missing textures here and finally found Mats suggesting that XP performance be set for program vs cache resources (My Computer properties advanced tab). I remembered I changed from program to cache two weeks ago as an experiment, and that I have flown the 737NG many times since then but the problem only now appeared. Having no other clues, I changed the performance selection back to programs from cache and it worked.I am posting this to help the next guy who uses the forum search to fix this problem. Interesting.
