Question about the approach. When I use the APP on the MCP it will line up the plane with the runway but then it shuts off. I'm using the 737-900. It used to work just fine. Both autopilots are still working.Thanks,Roger

It's normal for the light on the button to extinguish. Note you have VOR/LOC & GS modes annuciated on the flight display, as long as those are lit you are in approach mode.

Hey Dan,Yes they are, and I just tried it, landing is going okay. I thought that the APP light would stay on.Also From my previous question, I decided to get Activesky. This looks very nice, but another thing to get to learn. Thanks for all the info.Roger
