744 VNAV climb/decent vertical speed

Hi often when using the VNAV for climb and decent it has a very high vertial speed.like 3000-5000 :S anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Man, another miss.Everytime I see a Vnav post on any forum, I really hope that someone is having the same problems I've been having accross the addon board with Vnav descents no longer coming close to hitting the proper alt constraint set in the FMC. Understanding +/- a hundred feet or so of course.lol, I guess I'll have to wait, or maybe the time has finally come to do a reformat and reinstall.
