December 19, 200619 yr I normally use flaps 25 for the 744 but I notice in the FMC that with 30 fuel left I could shave 6 knots off the VREF by going to flaps 30 as opposed to flaps 25. I don't use full flaps because I read somewhere that I should not do so with the 744. Apart from a steeper approach and the hassles of full flaps in a crosswind, is there any other reason for not using it?Gerry
