EHAM Problems

Featured Replies

I have over the last 2 years tried to figure out a way to solve my EHAM problem in FS9. Since i bought the simulator, i have never been able to fly into EHAM (my most favorite airport) because the runways were not right. Last week i saw a posting on this site referencing Peter Bos's AFCAD file. I downloaded it and installed it. Now all the runways are in their proper place and evrything seems fine...But....i am still unable to pickup the ILS or GS signals for any of the runways even though they are listed on the FMS and when chosen the runway is displayed properly...there is just no ILS or GS signal. How can i fix this problem? Thanks.Anthony

If the AFCAD is missing navaids then it is possible to edit the AFCAD to add them (or change them). The AFCAD editor is a free download and easy to use in my opinion. However, check the AFCAD documentation that came with it (if any). Most of these cover the basics like approach navaids. If there is a difference between frequencies, for example, then you are on your way to understanding the problem and fixing it.

Thanks Dan. I'll check it out.Anthony

You probably found out yourself, but in Peter Bos' AFCAD RWY 27 has a wrong ILS frequency. 111.55 vs 111.50 if I remember correctly. In any case, always check what the FMS says vs. what the AFCAD says, that is usually the culprit for not getting a glideslope.

if EHAM is your favorite airport then go to www.nl-2000.com Download the fabolous scenery, then you have the good runways on place and the good frequencies!best regards
