January 17, 200719 yr Good afternoon PMDG crews !After several months flying the 737 and a couple of weeks with the 744, I have an unsolved curiosity/question.During the takeoff roll, we can hear a serie of callouts:Eighty knots !Vee one !Rotate !Vee two !And I ask myself: Do all those synthetic-voice callouts exist in the real plane or are they part of the simulation ?. I mean, are they the simulated voice of the Pilot Not Flying ?I presume this is a not difficult question to be answered by the lots of Boeing experts in this forum. Thanks in advance.Jose Luis. signed: José Luis
January 17, 200719 yr Commercial Member Those callouts are the voice of Captain Randazzo, who you can assume is sitting next to you making them! Those are part of every airline I've ever heard of's SOPs, so we included them. January 17, 200719 yr Author Thanks Ryan, I suspected that was the answer. You could also have included a "positive rate !" callout...I must confess that in more than one ocassion I have forgotten to rise the gear untill some thousand feet agl.I suppose that flying a two-pilot aircraft by one only pilot causes those mistakes.Jose Luis signed: José Luis
