January 20, 200719 yr Using quick start Control E, both engines start up ok and both spool up together. I programme FMC and prepare to take-off and suddenly find right-hand throttle doesn't work. Checking throttle window shows left-hand engine lever only is moving. I can move either of the levers using mouse. (I use a single AETi throttle which operates both engines). Help appreciated. I'm obviously missing something. BCA42 Gordon Evans.
January 21, 200719 yr I've never tried quick start on the PMDG... why do you need it? The default starts up with engines running, one has to make extra effort to start cold and dark. Anyway, I have deleted the E key in FS9 because everytime I hit it I end up with only one throttle control and the other never comes back. Dan Downs KCRP
January 21, 200719 yr Thanks Dan for your reply re 737 NG throttle failing to open. I had been using Quickstart as the basis for a default flight I had set up under 'Select a Flight'. Following your info I am now using 'Create a Flight', and as you say,737 starts up with engines running. So goodbye E key and hello two engines for take-off. Very grateful for your help. It's a steep learning curve. BCA42 Gordon
