Problem with B747 PMDG FMC Airac.

Each time I put in an airport like KLAX etc, I get the message Not in Database. The ident page tells me that I have Airac 05-06 Jun05-Jul97-05. I know it is outdated but it should get the main airport. All the files seems to be at their proper location what's going on here, any help will be apprecitated.

If your airac data should match the sidstars (both should be cycle 0506).The cost to have current airac is very low (about $2.80/cycle from navigraph). The airac for cycle 0609 might still be available at navdata, which you might try. There are numerous changes every 60 days, runway numbers change, VORs are decommissioned and new ones put in service, new fixes and many new RNAV arrivals and departures. It's adds a lot to the sim experience to stay up to date.

Sorry, can't read the display...however, since you have the original airac data provided by PMDG (I think) I wonder if you have ever updated?Other than learning all there is to know about how the navdata and sidstars work and how to modify the files, you're choices other than staying current are pretty limited. I recommend you get the current data and your 'not in database' error will probably go away.
