Hi AllJust downloaded the 747 Queen tonite and I am trying to get her all setup for my Saitek X52 pro joystick with key command assignments.I have already done this for my 737NG and it works well on a joystick profile using the PMDG keyboard assignments - no problems there.However on the 747 - no default keyboard assignments are active in the PMDG menu - is that correct ? Secondly when I assign keystrokes to the main / landing / appr and zoom views they do not work - strangely all the other windows do activate - ie FMC / throttle / Overhead etc.Obviously this should work I imagine and I am just missing something, can anyone help with this ?Thanks PMDG for a brilliant aircraft.Regards Roger

I found I had to assign the keyboard pretty much from scratch, then when I went back to the 737 I loose those until I reopened the assignments window and close it (no changes) then then 737 was okay. However, once everything is used a couple of times the assignments finally stuck in both aircraft. Found it curious.

Am I right in thinking that the 747 2D cockpit does not have the views that the 737 has, ie zoom mode / appr / landing.I have found that all my PMDG 737 key assignments have now switched to different ones in the PMDG menu - which seems rather bizarre ? Anyhow that means I will have to reprogram my Joystick 737s profile for the now changed set of PMDG 737 keys which were used prior to installing the 747 and then setup a new key set for the 747 and then use them on a different joystick profile.I also have no key assignments for the 747 - was that the same for you.Cheers Roger

After playing with it a couple of times, I have different key assignments for 737 and 747 and they work fine.The 747 has a zoom mode (it toggles on the 2d panel), but not approach or landing modes.To keep myself from getting confused, I use the same basic assignments for both aircraft with minor differences.

Hi, just looking into buying one of these HOTAS joystocks, what do you make of them? How have they been since you posted this message?Any chance of a list of your suggested key assignments and how you've used each function on the joystick and throttle?Cheers for anything you can offer, don't have much cash and don't want to buy something I can't use!!Glen Lee
