No keyboard

Featured Replies

All of a sudden, today I have no keyboard use when flying PMDG 737, worked yesterday!. i.e when I push the "s' key it will switch views in any other aircraft, and it used to do it in the 737, until today. I can use the F9 key to change to FSNav. I did a PMDG forum search on "keyboard" but none of the results worked for me. Any ideas? Thanks Bob

Open the assignments under PMDG (on the FS9 menu bar) and verify everything is as it should be then close it. I've had this simple open/look/close work before, but it doesn't happen often enough to figure out what's going on.

Thanks Dan, I did try that one and no go. I think I read that in my search. I remember reading a reply, in my search, about the Flight1 Super80. I have been messing around with it in the past two days, so I deleted it to see if that would change my problem, but it didn't. Thanks for your reply and also all your hard work updating sids and stars. Bob

Next idea: Review the FS9 assignments for the keyboard and delete any that you want to use with the PMDG. Verify your 737Kbd.ini file in the PMDG folder is where it should be, and changes filedate when you change something in the PMDG assignment. I think I'm out of ideas.

Bob,I hope you don't think I'm insulting you, but you haven't engaged using the FMC with the keyboard have you - as this wil stop the keyboard from operating - at least it does on mine until I deselect the FMC keyboard command.

Nope, thats just it, I havn't changed anything. I dont even use any off the PMDG menu items. I see that there is under PMDG>General>Keyboard comands, but never messed whith them. I must of done somthing because my key board used to work with the 737. Thanks for the reply, Bob
