June 29, 200718 yr Hello,I'm having problems with the PMDG 737 600 Series, on the FMC/FMS when i type in a aircraft ICAO code it says "runway 05 error" or "egll err rwy 05" etc......... also sometimes it says "not found in database". I Have purchased and installed the latest Airac Update which was an auto-installer..... but still having these problems, any suggestions???In the FS9 Directory, PMDG Folder what files should be in their?? Ive got the sid/stars, flightplans, icons, 737TNG along with a few files..?I would appreciate some DETAILED instructions as to what i need to do to fix this. Cheers,Jamie.
June 29, 200718 yr I just checked the sidstar file for EGLL at navdata and it indicates that the runways there are 09L/R 27L/R... assuming that is correct I recommend you update your sidstars. Both airac and sidstar data is required for the simulation, the sidstars are available at either planepath.com or navdata.at (see also article in PMDG OPS http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/SIDSTARS )The airac data is kept in the FS9 subdirectory FMCWP.. not under PMDG as you would expect.Hope this helps. June 29, 200718 yr Ok well ive downloadewd and installed the latest AIRAC and in the FMCWP there isnt a great amount of files... how many should their be? So ive got the AIRAC done, where do i get the SIDSSTARS from specifically????Cheers
June 29, 200718 yr The AIRAC updates do not include SIDS/STARS.. You have to update those separately.. They are usually in a .zip file that you have to unzip into the PMDG/sidstar directory..------------------------------------------------------------------Joe"It's not the fall that kills ya. June 29, 200718 yr Specifically, there are several sources, which is why I pointed you to the article on sidstars... however, if you're impatient try http://planepath.com Dan Downs KCRP
