July 14, 200718 yr Hello all,I have been trying to set up my crossing altitude for an ILS landing at 740 ft in the PMDG 747-400 FMC, but have had no luck? Is it not possible to enter altitudes below 1000ft into the FMC?thanksTabraiz
July 14, 200718 yr Makes sense that you couldn't, if true. You should already be on final course in landing configuration below 1000 agl. Are you sure this is the final approach fix? Usually, the FAF GS crossing altitude is 1700-2000 agl about 5 nm from touchdown. Your fix is closer to 3 nm from touchdown, kinda low and close. Dan Downs KCRP
July 15, 200718 yr I looked at the chart and you're correct :) (ofcourse). The GS crossing is at 1700 , 5.5 nm from touchdown. I got carried away trying to enter waypoints into the FMC. Just getting used to the 747. Thanks for the response.Tabraiz
