Kav-We need more information from you before I can make suggestions to help you.A few things that you need to try:1) Read the post I have pinned to the top of the forum regarding download an updated version of the 400X.2) You should follow those installation instructions (meaning: completely uninstall the 400X you currently have installed.)3) You should check to ensure that your windows localization settings are using

yes thanks Robert i suspected it was a problem with my machine as i was able to run the 747x initial release with no problem and so i re installed it after experiencing the problems ive described and it would not work which proved it was my machine. The good news is that i have managed to fix the problem now. i had already followed all the fresh install steps you have mentioned here and on the forum and pmdg site with a re download of the latest 747 etc and none of this sorted it unfortunately, but last night i decided to try it all again removing everything as i have now donr numerous times including FSX. Well the difference this time is that i realised that when removing FSX by the add remove programmes way there were many many FSX files left on the system , somthing which i had not checked previously( im talking about the main FSX folder. So i manually deleted any remnants of FSX as i had already done with the 747x accoprding to your instructions. Well i then installed everything again and it all went fine and the 747 works now perfectly. Thanks for all your help and my conclusion is some kind of corrupted FSX files which remained in the directory causing the problems because in all my attempts, this was the only thing i finally did diferentlyI hope this feedback may be able to help the other two if im rightthanksKav
