PMDG 747-400 FSX Version v2.00.0031

Featured Replies

Hi There -Please bear with me for I'm fairly new at this so I'll try to present my problem as simple and short as possible. I like many others, purchased the initial release version (v2.00.0030) when it was first released and I too experienced difficulties getting the simulation to run.Yesterday evening I downloaded the newest version (v2.00.0031). Before doing anything with it I uninstalled the first version using the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS feature of the windows control panel. Once this was done I then started the unzipping of the newer version, so far so good. When I started the installation process I got hit with this message and I quote..."FSX Version 10.0.61355.0 (SP1 at least) required. You only have FSX Version 10.0.60905.0 installed. Please install FSX SP1 or later to use this product" end of quote. My only choice then is to click "OK" and this stops the whole process and I'm unable to proceed.I thank anyone in advance that may be able to help out in plain english please.Regards, Jaime.

It looks to me like you have the original version of FSX, also known as FSX RTM. A while back, Service Pack 1 (SP1) was released and can be downloaded here:http://dev.fsinsider.com/downloads/Pages/F...rvicePack1.aspxBe aware, a new retail FSX addon from Microsoft, called FSX-Accleration, is now available in the US and elsewhere shortly; this contains the next service pack (SP2) for FSX which supercedes SP1 in its entirety. SP2 is not available as a standalone patch for FSX until sometime in December.Install SP1 from MS for FSX and then install the 744X.Good luck.

Thank you very much for the suggestion and for taking the time to reply, I'll give it a shot and hope to take off soon after.Sincerely, Jaime.
