Can 400X sounds be copied to the FS9 updated 747-400/F and...?

Featured Replies

Is there a way to take a legally purchased copy of 400X and copy the sound files from them to the legally purchased 400/F FS9 updated version- thus improving the FS9 update even further? If this is a simple work-around, some pointers would be greatly appreciated! Also, the EGT not running down still bugs me- on every shutdown- again, is this a simple fix and however this this guage get changed?No- before all the protests- I'm not asking you to drop your current lineup progress for another comprehensive 744 update (I plan on taking a survey for that a bit later)- but if these two items are things that would take only a few minutes to write- please oblige us in a mad moment of philanthropy!Best-Carl F. Carl,Negative on the sounds - the FSX sounds are a completely different set that uses FSX's new 3D sound cone tech - they're not gonna work if you copy them to FS9.

Thanks Ryan:To confirm- replacing the soundset with the new one will not work at all? I'm not too interested in the cone set- don't particularly care for it in FSX- too suddenly dramatic. Would be perfectly happy with the new sounds without the sound shaping.....??Also, any idea what happened to the EGT guage and why it doesn't run dow as before?Anyway, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!Best-Carl F.
