January 3, 200818 yr Hi all,Sorry did a search on this but I don't know what I should be looking for:While flying the 747-400X (PMDG) I am getting a "No TDZ" amber warning on the PFD on the right lower corner under the climb/decent rate indicator. What does this mean and how / where do I define a TDZ?Thanks! January 3, 200818 yr Commercial Member It Means no touch down zone.. Have you selected the STAR and runway?Rob Rob Prest
January 3, 200818 yr You have not selected a destination runway (at the very least) in the FMC so it does not know where to touchdown after the last waypoint.John Veldthuishttp://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa475.png John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
January 4, 200818 yr "What does this mean and how / where do I define a TDZ?"The TDZ is a yellow and white symbol superimposed on your PFD barometic altitude tape. It symbolises the runway. If the runway/airport is 200' above sea level, a striped symbol appears at 200' on the tape. There is a database in the FMC which includes the heights of all the airports/runways. When you select a departure or destination airport on your Route page, the symbol should appear (You may have to execute the route first, however). I believe that adding arrival/departure runways refines the altitude (not all runway touchdown zones are at the same average height as the airport).Hope this helps.Cheers.Q>
