Beech 1900-can't turn panel lighting on in VC

I transfered my Beech 1900 into FSX all went well except....Should I be able to turn the panel light on in the VC? It just wont seem to turn on. even when I hit keyboard "L" which is my shortcut for all lighting.

Upon further review....here's what's going on....the panel light is in fact coming on, it is just very, very dim, so you can not read the instruments at all.Is the brightness adjustable??

If it's during early dawn or at dusk the panel lights do not show much at all even though it's quite dark outside. I use the overhead floods during those times. That's either on the overhead panel or hit "I".
