No A/T on initial climb-out

Recommended Posts

After take-off at LGAV today, I had no autothrottle and the thrust mode was blank (I know many have had the same problem). Fixed by pressing the VNAV button (which was already lit) and this fixed it.Cheers, Richard

No offence, but almost certainly it's something you're doing wrong. You don't mention which bird you're flying. But, if it's the 747-400, then please refer to Rob's excellent "Type Rating" courses available on the PMDG site.- Bill

As suggested in the note below, you probably have a procedural error somewhere. However, when loading a saved flight, the Thrust Mode always comes-up blank with the VNAV lit. Selecting VNAV fixes the problem instantly. This is per my observations.Zach

Zach,I believe that you are correct. I had saved my flight and then reloaded it and forgot about the re-load inadequacies.I am not too sure of the logic involved in clicking the VNAV button to restore the thrust mode setting!Cheers, Richard
