one question regarding resulotion in the future

Dear PMDG Team,i have to buy a new monitor but what resolution will your products support in the future (737NG2)(MD11??)almost all TFTs are widescreen make it sense to buy a 4:3 TFT?? with best regardsJ

Jurgen,I'd get the widescreen - most of them have a "1:1" mode you can put it into where it puts black bars on the sides so that you get correct proportions when using non-wide resolutions.You can use VCs with wide resolutions just fine by the way too, it's only 4:3 2D panels that distort.We're well aware of the shift to widescreen (most of us on the team have wide panels now ourselves) and we'll surely be looking at making widescreen 2D panels for future stuff.

I did this. I can't get PMDG to say its ok to distribute it and I definitely can't provide any supporst for it. I did the FO panel as well as all the others you can select from the panel switcher. There are two or three visual issues but they are very minor and everything works. I am mainly a VC pilot but I couldn't stand seeing all those stretched out panels and I just wanted to see if I could do it.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/186532.jpg
