June 4, 200818 yr Hi folks,I bought the excellent 747-400X for FSX a couple of months ago and love it but due to some stability issues in FSX which may be attributed to my system overclock I'm considering re-installing FS9. I will continue to try and iron out the overclocks which have only recently given me problems in FS and not limited to just the PMDG aircraft. Will the 747X work in FS9 with the latest FS9 patch or do you require the original Queen of the Skies for FS9 installer. If the later is the case will my license files etc from my 747X version work on FS9. I would hate to not be able to fly it in FS9 ;-(RegardsChris Ibbotson Chris Ibbotson AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3D / MSI AMD MPG x670E Carbon Motherboard / Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 Gaming OC 32GB GDDR7 PCI-Express Graphics Card / Corsair DOMINATOR Titanium RGB Grey 64GB 6000MHz AMD EXPO DDR5 / NZXT C1200 Gold ATX 3.1 - Fully Modular Low-Noise PC Gaming Power Supply - 1200 Watts - 80 PLUS Gold / 48” UltraGear™ UHD 4K OLED Gaming Monitor / 40" Philips 4K LED Monitor / Honeycomb Alpha Yoke / Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant / WinWing Orion Rudder Pedals c/w dampener / WinWing Ursa Minor Airline Joystick / WinWing Airbus MCDU
June 4, 200818 yr Commercial Member No, it does not work in FS9. That's why there's two separate versions, the underlying code is very very different between FS9 and FSX addons and it wasn't possible for us to make a single version work with both. June 4, 200818 yr Author Thanks Ryan,I did suspect that was the case but I recalled that the 400X installer had some function to update the FS9 version so thought I would enquire if they were compatible. I guess I will have to persevere on getting the system stableChris Ibbotson Chris Ibbotson AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3D / MSI AMD MPG x670E Carbon Motherboard / Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 Gaming OC 32GB GDDR7 PCI-Express Graphics Card / Corsair DOMINATOR Titanium RGB Grey 64GB 6000MHz AMD EXPO DDR5 / NZXT C1200 Gold ATX 3.1 - Fully Modular Low-Noise PC Gaming Power Supply - 1200 Watts - 80 PLUS Gold / 48” UltraGear™ UHD 4K OLED Gaming Monitor / 40" Philips 4K LED Monitor / Honeycomb Alpha Yoke / Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant / WinWing Orion Rudder Pedals c/w dampener / WinWing Ursa Minor Airline Joystick / WinWing Airbus MCDU
