744 NAV/RAD problem.

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I am having problems with the new Kai Tak scenery from FlyTampa. I have downloaded a couple new navaids for VHHX for use with the IGS 13 localizer. Well, the freq. is supposed to be 111.90 with a course of 88. Problem is, I am unable to tune that into the NAV/RAD page of the FMC. I gives me an invalid entry error. Am I going about this all wrong or missing something else?Thanks,Danny-Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 OC'ed to 2.9GHz-EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX-Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)-EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16-Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150-Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s-Thermaltake toughpower W0104RU ATX12V / EPS12V 650W-ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan with Heatsink

Go to NAV page, type 111.90/088, and enter to the ILS. Remeber, 111.90/088, not 111.90/88 or 111.9/088.

Hmmm, well, that still didn't work. The 13 Localizer still doesn't seem to be there. I am using this file that I found through a link on the Flytampa forums. I don't know anything about the inner workings of the SID/STARS that you put into the PMDG folder. Anyway, if someone could have a look at this and see if there is a reason I am not getting it. Here it is:http://www.flightsimworld.com/downloads/readme/1070.htmlThanks!-Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 OC'ed to 2.9GHz-EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX-Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)-EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16-Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150-Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s-Thermaltake toughpower W0104RU ATX12V / EPS12V 650W-ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan with Heatsink

Danny:As VHHX is not a current airport it is NOT available in the AIRAC. You have to edit two files to make it "appear". Our own Steve Bell wrote the SIDSTAR for the 9Dragons freeware (excellent). Here's a link to getting your problem solved with that version- I'd imagine your solutions is similar-http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchBest-Carl F. The airport not showing up is not my problem. I have downloaded some "new" procedures for it. All the SIDS/STARS show as well as the IGS13. After some more reading, I think the problem may be a missing section in the C:FS9FMCWPNavdatawpNavAID.txt file. I think I need to have a section in there for the 13 localizer. I don't know how to tell if it is missing or not and if it is, how do I add it? As when I tune 111.90/088 I still get an "INVALID ENTRY" error on the NAV/RAD page of the FMC.Danny -Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 OC'ed to 2.9GHz-EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX-Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)-EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16-Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150-Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s-Thermaltake toughpower W0104RU ATX12V / EPS12V 650W-ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan with Heatsink
