[MD-11] Performance issue

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,Although I really love this MD-11 I have a problem that makes it almost un-playable. When I load the aircraft and it is at the gate with the tutorial panel file loaded I get around 21-22 FPS, from the moment I start programming the FMC, especially after pre-flight programming is done the FPS drop to about 3-4 FPS which makes the plane unflyable. Any Ideas ??Sean De Maere

I didn't notice that on my system - in fact, the MD-11 is a higher FPS than the Queen.I wonder if something else is afoot with a video issue when you popup a new panel. Full screen or windowed mode? Just curious as I've had that happen with an older Nvidia driver for my 8800 Ultra. Not related to the aircraft that was.Etienne

It's in full screen mode, I would be surprised if it's the ghraphics drivers as I updated them yesterday. the video card is a NVIDIA 8800 GTSSean

Sean,Do you have anti-virus software running and if so is there a real time scanner exclusion set for the FSX folder? We've seen a similar issue before caused by there not being one set...
