October 31, 200817 yr I am watching right now this cold-and-dark video:http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=vUDML_mheacAt the beginning - after Bat switched on & fire warning tests - the APU is started. Until the APU isnt yet started-up there is NO(!) aural warning tone (no electricity)...If I reproduce this here - cold & dark, Bat to "on" and pressing APU-start switch - there is this constant warning tone the whole time until the APU has been started up and the bus connected... Question: Do you have an idea how - from cold & dark - to start up the APU without the warning tone (like in the vid) in the backround until the APU has been started & connected? Is there kind of "trick" ...? :) :)KR
October 31, 200817 yr Offtopic: Without AC Power connected (ground power) you shouldn't be able to hear the firebells, but only see the engine fire handle/fuel switch lights coming on
November 1, 200817 yr Commercial Member Susan, I am not sure what kind of warning you hear. My best guess is that what you hear is the "IRU on battery" warning. Could happen if you turn off all engines (and have no other source of power except the battery) while any of the 3 IRU knobs is still in the NAV position. Just make sure all the IRU knobs are OFF.Floris, Thanks for noticing that. Will be fixed in the next update. Michael FrantzeskakisPrecision Manuals Development Grouphttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
November 1, 200817 yr Cool Michael, you were exactly right with your guess with the "IRU on battery" warning...after switching IRUs to off there was "lovely" silence... :)KR
