FSX 747 livery install problem...

Recommended Posts

I searched for the answer to this problem with no luck.I am trying to install a FSX747 livery on a new computer. Using Vista 64. Installed previously without a prob on old computer (XP Pro).I am getting the following error window after the install routine starts:"Aircraft.cfg not found. Please Reinstall your PMDG 747-400X before installing this livery."The aircraft.cfg file seems to be normal, in the following subdirectory:e:Program FilesFlight Simulator XSimObjectsAirplanesPMDG747-400Any advice? Thanks,Don

Make sure you install with admin rights enabled for the livery and for the 747.

Thanks Pete!I am running with admin rights enabled on both.Any other ideas? Do I really need to do a new install? It just doesn't seem right. The standard PMDG aircraft load perfectly, it is only the add-on liveries that give me the error.Don

Thanks for your help Pete.I figured it out!I had installed in "Flight Simulator X" and it was looking in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X" which didn't exist....hence it couldn't find the cfg file.Strange how often our problems are little stupid things eh?I appreciate your help.Don
