Ok so no one can help......... by the way it seems to be an intermittent problem.Sometimes I load the free flight and the "PMDG Sounds" entry in the drop down menu is present and sometimes not.Sometimes I can gain access to make the change to the box for hearing sounds "outside" the 2d cockpit (bliss) and sometimes not (annoying).I am flying the same flight at the moment (the tutorial) because I am still trying to learn the basics.So I do not think I am doing anything different each time.RegardsStuart

Stuart-Take a look in your DLL.XML file (same location as your FSX.CFG) and if you see PMDGSounds.dll listed there- then you are fine.If the sound dll didn't load- you wouldn't be able to use the simulation- so I don't think you have a problem.We haven't received any reports of this being intermittent- so i'm not sure what advice to give you there.
