Baron 58 startup.

I can't seem to start the Baron 58 in FS2K2. I follow the startup sequence exactly but the starter switch does not stay engaged long enough to kick the engines over. I don't have this problem with any of the default prop A/C or the Piper Saratoga II. The switch works normally on all except the Baron. I've installed the Steve Small air files. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, I had the same problem too. It is a bug with FS2002. You need to use key commands to do this. Press E and then 1 or 2 depending on the engine. Then press M and then + or - to move the mag switch (this is using the default key mappings). Hope this helps. Robert

Well yes but you can do it with the mouse:- hammer on the left mouse button until the engine starts- if you have a scroll wheel: move it over the (+) area of the magneto switch and roll continously up until the engine startsRegards :-wavehttp://flightsimmers.net/airport/etti/signature_pro.jpg

You can fix the problem yourself...In the aircraft.cfg, there's an entry which is something like "starter_torque"..... Increase the number in this entry until you find a setting which provides a realistic startup for the engines...-John

Sounds like an old Chrysler. :-lol

Another way to do this is to click, click, click your left mouse button as rapidly as you can until the engine starts. Usually about four clicks, I think, will get it kicked over and started.
