You guys are amazing with the way you can come up with so many routes so quickly. Thanks to all of you who consistently provide responses to these requests. For me, I am on the lazy side and keep thinking it be really great if you could just cut and paste one of these directly into FSBuild so the short route format could be saved for the future, the full route built for you, export as a PIC flight plan to the FMCWP flightplans directory and to the FSNav directory, and then just enter on the COROUTE line. All with just a couple of clicks and typing EGLLKLAX a couple of times. If there is a toggle in FSBuild to allow that without having to edit (add the dashes and periods and take out the spaces) then, please, someone clue me in on it.

Support for this will be in Fsbuild-2It will be a lot more flexible in accepting flight plans from other sources.Regards.Ernie.

Ernie,I'd love to see FSBuild pay more attention to places where DPs and STAR's connect:Example - If I type KTUS-KPHX in, I get KTUS-AVQ-TOTEC-J11-TUKEE-KPHX, cut the correct real world route is KTUS.TUS6.SUNNS.SUNNS4.KPHX.I'd like to have the abiliity to select my DP and STAR and then have FSBuild just construct the enroute section to connect them...Also if you could put in an option to use the "dot" method of writing out a flightplan like I did above with a single dot being a connection and two dots beeing a direct from A to B, that would be cool too. In the case that it's already in there, how do I enable it?Thanks!Ryan

>I'd love to see FSBuild pay more attention to places where DPs and STAR's connect:>>Example - If I type KTUS-KPHX in, I get KTUS-AVQ-TOTEC-J11-TUKEE-KPHX, cut the correct real world route is >KTUS.TUS6.SUNNS.SUNNS4.KPHX.That's a tough question to answer.I'm very aware of this issue. But every airport, ATC sector etc etc has their own procedures, and they are constantly changing. That's makes it very difficult to do. They'll be something in this area, I prefer not to go into specifics now. Though I doubt it will be to the level or perfection you are thinking of.>I'd like to have the abiliity to select my DP and STAR and then have FSBuild just construct the enroute section to connect them...>>Also if you could put in an option to use the "dot" method of >writing out a flightplan like I did above with a single dot being a >connection and two dots beeing a direct from A to B, that would be >cool too. In the case that it's already in there, how do I enable it?I don't want to give out too much information about the program yet, Its still quite a ways from being complete. But in answer to your last question I reiterate my reply to Mike."It will be a lot more flexible in accepting flight plans from other sources"Regards Ernie.

I about fell out of my chair reading your replies Ernie. I have extensively used FSBuild for a long time now to store all of my routes. My original post was really just thrown out as a "wish". Looks like there is a Santa Claus after all. Thanks for your all of your work on such a helpful piece of freeware.

>Thanks for your all of your work on such a helpful piece of >freeware. Well might as well get the bad news out of the way now. Fsbuild-2 will probably be shareware. Regards. Ernie.
