Localizer Tracking

Recommended Posts

Guest

I am finding that the autopilot is tracking the localizer about a quarter of a dot left or right. It seems to track the glideslope just fine. The aircraft packaged with FS2k2 seem to track perfectly. I have tried tweaking the runway headings in the PIC airport database file, but all that seems to do is change the depiction on the EHSI.Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hey Via,I'm not sure about all the airports (in fact I did notice that 9L at KORD was off a bit), but 4R at KBOS is right on.See this post Mike submitted about our cat III into Boston on VATSIM. This was by far the best experience I've ever had flying flight simulators...http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID33/926.htmlI'm not sure what causes this, or if there is a fix for it, but I'm sure someone else will know. :)Regards,Steve Dra

Thanks for the info. I have seen other posts on the same subject, but I haven't seen a good fix. If the other planes in FS2k2 did the same thing, I wouldn't worry about it. It seems to be the only bug I have left in this otherwise fantastic add-on.Cheers,

Hey ViaDirect, I'm having the exact same problem. I have used the panel in the POSKY 767-200s and 300 and also in the IFDG 757-200. I have the same results. I've not downloaded the merge file, maybe this will help this issue we both are having.RTC79SBBR

Hey Guys, I too experience this problem, I guess the reason for this is that in the PIC airport database it uses the real world OBS courses for the runways and FS tends to be off a bit on them so it tracks off the center line, the only way around this might be to go in and manually set the OBS in the Nav/DME radio that is given in FS, even then im not sure??? Give it a try!Cheers,Tom Moretti"Controlling doesnt require skill, just patience"American 638 requesting IFR clearance to the moon............:-grr
