August 23, 200223 yr For some reason I cannot takeoff in the POSKY 767 V3. The elevator will not function at all to my keypress, while rudder and aileron remain functional. I am not using any special addons like FSUIPC and all AP systems and other automated flight functions are turned off for T/O. The problem disappears if I use another panel.-Matt
August 23, 200223 yr You got the latest FSUIPC and turned on the option which says "Eliminate Rudder Spikes"?
August 23, 200223 yr Rudder spikes would fix that? I took a look externally to see what was happening. The elevator responded but my command was immediately overriden. For instance if I moved the elevator up then it would go, if I tried to move it down, then it would be pushed back to its last position.-Matt
October 24, 200223 yr I'm having the same problems, the only problem is that while I'm able to takeoff, the 767 stalls out at once. Basically, it just keeps going up, so I stall after a few moments.
October 24, 200223 yr Yep I have that problem too. Right after gaining a little altitude The ol' bird pitched up to well over 30* and I could not bring it back down for the life of me! I'll check the dll.Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith Randy J Smith
October 25, 200223 yr I had it, checking the 3 FSUIPC options for control acelleration and spike elimination fixed it for me.P
October 26, 200223 yr Those haven't worked me, they are enabled and the stupid thing doesn't work. The elevator went full up and the bird would not takeoff at all, as if glued to the runway. I also have performance issues with the 763. Without a useful VNAV, its very hard to maintain at high altitudes.-M
October 28, 200223 yr I checked the Control Spike Elimination, and sure enough it worked. So, I've just put my first PIC/POSKY bird down in Copenhagen in a gentle 25 knot crosswind (the leftovers from yesterday's storm!). I love it! :-lol
October 28, 200223 yr Matt,The first thing I would check is my joystick/yoke calibration. I don't know what type of controls you're using but whatever it is, this simple check is easy. While on the ground and after the aircraft has been started, put your joystick/control in what you think is the center position. With the NUM LOCK off on your keyboard, hit the slew key (Y) and see what happens. If you shoot forwards or backwards dramatically, then you have a callibration issue. If it is a callibration issue, then I would assume that in your case, the aircraft will immediately slew forward because you are having trouble getting off the ground. The answer here is to callibrate your controls.I use FSUIPC AFTER my controls are callibrated and to set my null zones. I find this option to be useful. I also have all the "spike" options turned on.I also found an oddity reagrding trimming the aircraft for take off, either using all automated functions or flying by hand. Although I always atart from a previously saved flight situation, hence, all the settings should be exactly where I left off, FS2K2 loves to trim up the aircraft on its own when I load my saved situation. I first noticed this when flying my Cessna 421C, then I experienced this in PIC as well, causing the plane to lift off on it's own, shoot up like a rocket, and stall for I couldn't trim it down fast enough.PIC in FS2000 had a default trim of 6.6 degrees for take off, so now in FS2K2, I set the trim to somewhere between 3.5-4.0 dgrees and it works fine.I'm using the PIC/Posky merge as you are and CHProducts USB Yoke when flying the 767.Just my thoughts,Good luck,LawrieLawrie MannVatsim Callsign: TELCO1
October 29, 200223 yr I am ashamed to say it, but I use a keyboard - I can afford a yoke but I am not sure when and if I will buy one. In the meantime, I've decided to drop the issue - my 763 has been deleted in favor of the 764. Thanks for all the suggestions.-M
