Hello Everyone..Iv'e been playing with this 767 PIC for about two weeks and for some reason tonite, I cannot take off to save my life..I give 70% thrust then press the N1, Give 10% nose up and my plane just keeps jack knifing in the air and goes right into a stall and smash to the ground.. Geting very fustrating.. Please help..I also tried using 5 flaps & 15 and having the same results..- Eggy

Check your "Trim" setting. It sounds like the pitch trim is not set for your aircraft's weight and field conditions.Terry

Did you set up your FMC properly? and what ZFW did you entered? if you entered everything correctly, it should calculate the right Vspeed for you whether your weight is, and the trim setting is around 1.8~2.5 depend on you weight~~ hope this help

I hate to even suggest, but are your spoilers retracted? I only say this because I have taxied back before without remembering to reconfigure the a/c. Also, what speed are you using for Vr?

>>I hate to even suggest, but are your spoilers retracted?Actually, this is a very good point - it happened to me a few times that I accidentally hit the speed brake button on the ground just to find I couldn't retract the spoilers afterwards. This seems to be an FS bug, although I have no idea how and whey it occurs, it happens too rarely to me, but it is not confined to any particular aircraft.Cheers,Gosta.

err.... I feel sooooo stupid.. heheI didnt realize my speed brakes was deployed. :)thanks for all the help guys.. :)- Eggy

Hey,Sometimes the spoilers are extended in the ground when I load PIC. Trying to retract them won't work, they'll bounce right back up.There is a solution though :). Press F2 to engage reverse thrust, and then F1 (or move throttle a bit) to disengage it. Now the spoilers retract and will stay there, and operate perfectly normally afterwards. I've done this a hundred times, it works everytime...Tero

Hey EGG, It would have been good to do a walk around first huh?Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith

HAHAHAH. Yeah it sure would have..Maybe in FS2010 maybe by then they will have that sort of feature.. :)- Eggy

Fs2002 has it! it's called Spot View!Tim

Interestingly enough I was screwing around one day and have actually taken off with the spoilers still deployed. Flaps 15 and about 24,000 lbs of fuel. (light load) In my opinion they are all but usless in PIC. It's the one big concern I have with an otherwise flawless product. I understand the PIC team saying the default MSFS speed brake was far too effective, but deploying them in flight has an almost negligble effect on the aircrafts drag. Is the real beast really that difficult to slow in flight? Anyway, keep flyin' keep postin' and thank the flight sim gods a product like this exists! What would MSFS be without it? RespectPk

Yep the real "beast" in that difficult to slow but when you add gear down and more flaps on approach it all comes together. If i'm correct, you should retract the speed brakes @ 1000'.crvm

pkwood,Trust me. The speedbrakes are right on the money!Tero
