January 26, 200323 yr OK, I know this is a longshot, but here's the problem (maybe there's a fix)...After installing PIC, and after loading FS2K2 w/FSNAV4 with the PIC aircraft selected, my mouse curser switches to a multicolored square instead of the pointer. Laugh if you like, but it's dificult to select any options with a 1/2" cube! I am using a MS Wireless Intelimouse Explorer. After much frustration, I deleted PIC and everything went back to normal. I am using the latest mouse drivers for Win 98SE. I had deleted the scenery files that PIC installed, still have a mouse curser problem. Only thing I can think of is buy a new mouse, but I like the ability to program the buttons on this mouse. If anyone has had a similar problem and found a fix, PLEASE let me know.Frustrated !
January 26, 200323 yr 2 things I can think of:1. Have you tried it in both windowed and full screen? If it works fine in one but not the other, then it is most likely a video driver issue.2. Is "Show cockpit tool tips" turned on under Options/Settings/General in flightsim? If so turn it off...and if it is off, try turning it on to see if it makes a difference.Hope this helps,Regards,Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
January 27, 200323 yr Well, now I'm really confused!I was all ready to try Steve's suggestions, so I reinstalled PIC, twice. The first time, I removed the scenery files, as suggested by someone else, but the a/c would not show up. The wing lights were there, but no a/c.So, I deleted that installation, reinstalled PIC but left the scenery files in place. I disabled the "show cocpit tooltips, as I had done all along, and loaded the Delta 767. Hmmm... no mouse problems! So I decided to take a little trip from DFW to ONT, about 2 hours, to see what happens. Nothing!!! Everything worked great.Guess it may have been a third party scenery file I may have deleted or another program that I use, Flight Tracker, which I did not start up. I don't know but, for the moment, I'm a happy camper. Thnx for the suggestions, Steve. I'll keep them in mind if I run into problems in the future.
