To send a private message on Squawkbox; type ".msg Callsign" then message. So to send a message to Mike you would type ".msg AAL327" then the message.Note that there's a period ,full stop for us :), at the beginning of the command.

BTW, case does not matter in call signs, so ".msg aal327" works too.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Period at the begining....:) Yeah, I was copying/pasting the .msg aal327 a few times to Mike and didn't grab the "." Quite embarassing to see your message xmitted in red vs. the blue you were expecting!I attribute my errors to old age! :)Regards,Steve DraDAL1068

Mark,No problem on not responding. I was busy as hell throughout the event trying to say hello to everyone I could, keeping up with where everyone was, how they were doing, keeping ATC ahead updated with ETAs, and not fumbling my own flight. I was real glad to see you in the group and I hope you had a good flight."EGPF/EGCC/EGKK - KSFB/KMCO > the UK Disney Shuttle"Those are great suggestions for future flights. The Disney Shuttle would likely include 2 legs. The first being short and similar to last weekends flight where we would be in two groups flying opposit directions between two UK fields. Then everyone off to KMCO."KEWR/CYYZ - EGLL > Let's see how those Vatsim boys handle 30+ 767's arriving at LHR"The Toronto/Newark departures for Heathrow would also be a nice flight and provide another OCEANIC experiance. I would likely lean on you to team up with me on the routing and perhaps get you to update your excellent ETOPS guide."PANC - CYVR/KSEA/KPDX > the BBALL Run"And the BBall run sounds like a fantastic idea. Perhaps we could even get him to bite on that one.The next event I will be hosting will be in late February, a flyin to Athens then all depart for Paris. I have already began with the preliminary setup for that one with full support from the European Director for VATSIM. It should be a fully staffed event. In March, I am looking at returning to Kathmandu. That event will not be as widely promoted because of congestion but will include a really sweet arrival and departure. We will most likely be doing VECC-VNKT-VCCC but that is not cast in stone yet.
