February 19, 200323 yr Hey guys,As some of you might be aware, I've turned in my captain's hat for a paintbrush for a bit and got inspired when I read Mike's message talking about this next mini-session.Being the curious person I am, when he mentioned Lloyd Aereo Boliviano (LAB) airlines, I went out to airliners.net and found this pic:http://www.airliners.net/open.file/304193/L/(if the link is down, don't worry, airliners.net has been flakey since I started painting a few days ago...not a good sign!) So I asked myself..."Could I paint that thing and have it ready before this event so all the guys could fly a local bird (and a change of pace from the mainstream airlines)?" Sadley, I won't have it ready by tomorrow. :( I've only been painting for a few days now, and still have alot to learn...but this is what I completed so far:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID47/17112.htmlI promise the next time we have a South American fly-in, this bird will be in the AVSIM library! :)Regards,Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
February 19, 200323 yr Steve,That looks very nice. I also checked out your first repaint, an Austrian Airlines, and I was very impressed; you are very talented and I really can't believe that was your first attempt.Maybe I can impose on you to do a fictional Continental 763??? :-)
February 20, 200323 yr Author Thanks Mike!Yeah, down here we would phrase it "Y'all done good" (remembering the "Y'all" is singular and "all Y'all" is plural) :-lolIts too bad I won't have her ready for general distribution before tonight's event...but maybe I'll fly her to see how she handles! I've been flying little MD's for a while now and will have to get used to the big girl again. :)Here's a shot I took of her during a quick circuit around Miami:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e54c508520ba7b9.jpgI'm posting a few more pics over in the screenshot forum later.Look forward to see'in ya tonight somewhere over South America!Regards,Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
