March 24, 200323 yr Just wondering... would it be possible to use a 767 virtual cockpit, and change the code so it uses the PIC gauges??? I found this not-to-shabby 767 with a virtual cockpit at http://www.aerosim.co.jp! Here is the link to see the virtual cockpit pictures http://www.aerosim.co.jpI think the PIC gagues are timeless, and it would be nice to be able to adapt them to advancing technology! Let me know what you guys think.Regards,Phil Geddes
March 25, 200323 yr *BUMP* Someone must have some ideas... is VC not a popular desire for 767 PIC. I find some of these Japanese products pretty interesting.Regards,Phil Geddes
March 25, 200323 yr Hi,Are you kidding? VC would be great. My 3D glasses & trackIR are eagerly awaiting for such a feature to arrive.Pat
March 25, 200323 yr
is VC not a popular desire for 767 PIC
You might be able to use PIC 767 gauges with another aircraft's virtual cockpit but what would be the point when you will not have a product that flys like PIC? The fact is that we cannot use this with PIC 767. I don't care for a virtual cockpit unless it's the clickable type that will be the standard for all to come in FS9. I really believe that PIC has come to the end of the road for any more add-ons.Best Wishes, Randy J. March 26, 200323 yr Commercial Member Randy,What do you mean? As long as he was using the same airfile, it would still fly like PIC just as the POSKY/PIC merge does... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
March 26, 200323 yr What I mean is that you cannot ADD a virtual cockpit to the PIC product. It's code is set and since we don't know the code you cannot change this to add one. Where do you think the VC settings go? Just like the FMC you cannot change/add anything to it.Best Wishes, Randy J. March 26, 200323 yr >Ya but would the systems work the same?? ,Of course, they're contained in the airfile and aircraft.cfg. You only alter the sections that relate to the way the model is displayed and animated, i.e. contact points, lights, maybe flaps, probably some sections under 'aircraft geometry'. As long as the model isn't designed in a completely outrageous manner (reference datum point located half a mile ahead of the aircraft etc.) you shouldn't have too many problems.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
