No .FMC file when saving a flight

Featured Replies

Hi,When saving a flight, I no longer get a .FMC file, only the .FLT and .WX files. I used to get all three.Another problem: when selecting my default flight, parked at the gate at EHAM, engines off, I get an a/c with engines running.... I tried to load my panel with one of Wilco's standard flights with engines off, but after saving and selecting I still get the same problem.Any ideas??Regards,NicoEHAMhttp://www.nicokaan.nl/

Nico,as you have the aerosoft mcp I assume you have patch 1.3 installed.i belive that the save flight function was lost with this update.Mark

Mark,I don't think so, I have .FMC files in my directory that were created when I already had my MCP and patch 1.3 installed.Regards,Nico

I can confirm that the save files no longer function when using the 1.3 patch. I had to reinstall PIC after applying the 1.3 patch for this reason. Not having the Aerosoft MCP it wasn't really necessary for me anyway.

Yes you do lose the saved flight &L;panel state&R; while using the 1.3 patch. It will place you at the saved point but the panel state will not be saved. You must start the aircraft manually. Could somebody supply me with a list of the features of the 1.3 patch?Since I have it installed, I am unable to save the cold and dark cockpit, too. And my APU supplies power when reaching 82% N1. Are there any reasons to keep the patch installed as long as I don

Not really. There are some little cautions etc with the patch but nothing to write home about :) Best Wishes, Randy J. Then I will do I clear install without 1.3.Thanks!

Hi Randy,Like I said before I don't think the 1.3 patch from Wilco for Aerosofts MCP is causing this problem...Today I was able again to save the .FMC file and I still have my 1.3 patch. So there must be something else that is causing this strange effect every once in a while, or the "bad influence" of the 1.3 patch is intermittent.Regards,KiekEHAMhttp://www.nicokaan.nl/

Hi,I also lost the ability to save .fmc .We must check it, there must be a reason for that.Did you install 1.3 over the FS2002 patch, or over a clean install?or any other idea what might be the difference between our setups?Ilan Jonas

Hi,>Did you install 1.3 over the FS2002 patch, or over a clean>install?Over patch 1.2. Actually IMHO the only thing that changes (according to the date of the files) in version 1.3, is de file B767Wafds.gau (in FS2002gauges ). That sounds logical because AFDS stands for Automatic Flight Director System and the MCP is the main interface between the pilot and the AFDS.The PIC team had to synchronise the MCP hardware with the MCP software, I see no relation with the FMC, so therefore it's hard to believe for me that patch 1.3 is causing the problem.Regards,Kiekhttp://www.nicokaan.nl/
