Panel Lights

Featured Replies

I have just reloaded the PIC 767 after too long an absence and am back on the learning curve to master this baby.I have loaded the oribginal and updated with the FS2002 patch but cannot get the panel lights to work. When I press L for a quick fix with power on the backlighting flashes briefly then reverts to dark.I am using the PIC/POSKY merge in this but even the PIC version doesn't want to play.Any suggestions?

Ype done that and also I have uninstalled and reinstalled without any luck.Looks like daylight flights for me :(

I am not sure if this one will help you: Choose the default Chessna, turn on the avionics and lights and then reselect PIC767.

Another to thing to help, make sure that FSUIPC has the battery life on extend. Also check your aircraft.cfg and see if you have the electrical section there. If not post and we can send it to you to copy. I am really at a lost why you don't have panel lights at night other than what has been posted here.Hope these things help.Bob

Tried this too - panel loads with lights then switches off.It just crossed my mind - should this panel display at night with the pinkish tones as shwon on the Cessna? I have the D/F 737 and it has it's own form of panel illumination at night.

No pink light. You might see it flash pink briefly when you turn on the panel flood lights, but the pink is soon replaced by PIC's dedicated night panel bitmap. In that sense it is like DF's 734 panel.Lee Hetherington (KBED)http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

Thanks lee, should the overhead and pedestal be lit?

Andy Brockbank

No, the pop up etc do not have any night lights. This is an old aircraft guys, it's pretty well done for it's time and it's flight dynamics are next to none. Hopefully a version 2 will come out and address the various wants posted here over time.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith[/h5][h6]Are You Ready For The Next Great one? Randy,You are so right, this is an "old" panel but today as I flew from KTPA to KDEN it was so great flying late in the afternoon, the panel just was great, as usual, and the colors with the POSKY external looked so good as the sun set as I landed in Denver. It sure looks better than the 777 panel I saw in FS2004COF.I am just a die heart PIC767 user, until someone shows me a "WHOLE" lot better package, this panel is still king in any world. I have all the PIC767 support "toys" and it just flies like a dream "RIHGT NOW".Until someone can show me a better all-around package, I anin't going no-where. (grin) CheersBob JohnsonKDEN

Oh I agree with you there Bob. PIC will always be my favorite and have spent the most sim time with it. I am looking forward to the 737 NG package that looks to compete with PIC, but only time will tell if this is really the case. They have some incredible talent over there at PMDG. If PIC version 2 ever gets released to us, I'm sure it will be incredible.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith[/h5][h6]Are You Ready For The Next Great one?
