May 23, 200323 yr It was a delight having you over to share the evening Steve. I am still trying to recover from the 2 hours of sleep I ended up getting. The little fairway and green behind the house is critical to keeping my handicap down. Yesterday, in my Thursday night league, I launched one drive out of bounds and another through the end of the fairway and into a water hazard but the short game brought me in with a 38 which allowed me to edge out my opponent by 2 strokes. You adapted very quickly to the CH Yoke. It has been a long time since I sat in another chair and watched someone else roll PIC down the runway and complete a perfect flight ending in a smooth touchdown right on the center line. I really appreciate the tuning you did on my video settings although I have not had a chance to load PIC back up to enjoy it yet.To say your paint jobs are impressive would be an understatement. Standing 6 feet behind the monitor, I swear that I could not tell that one screenshot was a simulator model and not the real thing. Simply unbelievable stuff and you really can paint dirt on an airplane faster than I can start the APU.
May 23, 200323 yr MB,You're alive?I am flying tonight and tomorrow...she is away until Sunday afternon...a non-stop marathon until I find the illusive Captain Bevington.Rob.
May 23, 200323 yr Could be a tough hunt my friend. The BIG graduation party is Saturday afternoon. Leaving here for the Bakery in 5 minutes, then to the bank, the liquor store, then home to put up the big tent over the end of the fairway in my back yard. Still have windows to wash, a final mowing of the lawn, and then find out what everyone else failed to get done.Ahh what the heck, look for me on a LAS-LAX leg about midnight your time tonight.
May 23, 200323 yr Hehe!!!!!!!!You are the man.I'll be looking for you...maybe Sir Elchitz will pop up with some ATC out west around midnight EST.Rob.
May 23, 200323 yr Author Hehe Mike,All I had to do was wake up, stumble to the Metrolink Train, take a quick snooze through all the stations and get off on the last stop....roll out of the train and stand in a few lines. Those airport seating areas are deceptively comfortable, as was the MD and F-100 passenger seats. :-lol I'm sure your lack of sleep heavily contributed to your golfing glitches, but I can promise that your worst day on the course would still better my best. :)...Like I said, I consider it a good golf outing if I start off with a dozen balls and still have a few left after 18! :-xxrotflmaoI thank you for the kind words on my flying skills. I can honestly say that sitting at someone else's setup, no matter how good it is (like yours)...you feel like a fish out of water, at least for a while. That was the 1st time I've flown the PIC panel in at least a few months...so I was struggling how to remember how to do all the things we can usually do in our sleep (and sometimes do!) :-lol.I think we were doing ok until we got distracted and kinda' left her at 17000, coming back and seeing that we were only a few miles from 25L. I'm pretty sure that turn/descent we made would have us working at McDonald's in the real world, but at least I put on the ground without breaking anything. :)I think you saw that painting has taken over much of my spare time, but I hope to change that soon...I really need to get back up in the air with you guys. But its just like what we do at 1,2am in the morning, promising ourselves we are going to bed after this leg, but somehow convince ourselves, "Aw, just one more leg"...same way with painting...I say "OK, after this paint, no more for a while"...then I'll be browsing on airliners.net and see a paintjob that would look just great in flightsim and say....well, you know. :)Thank you again for your hospitality, and I look forward to seeing you again soon, either virtually or in that real world we sometimes exist in.Regards,Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
