June 23, 200322 yr Is it me or does this forum seem like a ghost town for the most part? I have a feeling that when the PMDG 737 hits the airways and FS2004 comes along, our beloved 767 is going to go the way of the gooney(sp?)bird. Any beta testers or those with press copies know if PIC works with all systems functioning in FS2004? Eric
June 23, 200322 yr I think the word on the streets is that it is not going to work due to the fact it was custom programmed not using the MS SDK... I hope it does work! Maybe there will be an easy fix? Who knowsIndeed the PMDG737 looks good but you can only really tell once you fly it :)
June 23, 200322 yr Hi there, people who tried to use PIC with the FS2004 beta/review release confirmed it doesn't work.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
June 23, 200322 yr I think this bird still has a lot of hours left in it. At least it does in my flight schedule. I have to agree with you though about the "ghost town" effect lately. With fewer newbees comming on board and an absence of good questions, things have gotten pretty slow. We need another Fred Burfel around here to fire up the old crew. And I am really missing Stiffy. "How to win friends and influence people" was a true classic. Anyone remember that one? (Don't bother searching, it was on the old forum)Mike
June 23, 200322 yr Face it. The pmdg 747ng will be the next PIC for fs'04. I'm debating whether to get it or not. It looks terrific, but I don't want to drive a small, tiny little 737 :)
June 24, 200322 yr Eric,I agree that this forum is going onto life support. When I first came accross this forum I was excited. Finally, a forum dedicated to a program that I really enjoy. So, I decided to write a nice "hello," message. I asked several questions about hardware and ending by saying I was looking forward to reinvigerating my 767PIC. Guess how much response I got?Notta. Zippo. Not even a hello and welcome aboard by the forum moderators or one of the regulars. I kinda figured out real quick that not much is going on here. And that's too bad. 767PIC is a cool program seemingly very well suited for ailine simulation.Unless we can attract new folks to the program, either by a commitment for a new version or patch by the developers, or some friendly interaction with newbees on forums such as this one. . .this forum will continue to develope into so-called "ghost town." Hopefully, this will not happen.
